Even though the weather isn't going to be the best this weekend there are still tons of fun things to do in the Mt. Washington Valley.
Here are some suggestion to have a perfect fun filled weekend!
Saturday morning start your day out right by grabbing some delicious breakfast at Peach's Restaurant. http://www.peachesnorthconway.com/ located in the heart of North Conway Village. You'll be received by a pleasant, friendly and efficient staff who can insure a relaxed and delicious meal in a quaint and cozy setting from a family who is all about food and hospitality. They are open at 7am.
After you have filled your belly walk it off by heading over to the North Conway Farmers Market at the Community Center. ( take a left when you walk out of peaches and it is 1 block away) https://www.nocofarmersmarket.org/ The Farmers markets hours are 9-12 noon. Their mission is to provide local, organic, and homemade food to the community! Check out all the wonderful things that are made and grown right here in the Valley.
Continue walking towards the village and enjoy all the amazing shops that North Conway has to offer.
Make sure you stop at the North Conway Public Library where they are having their yearly Book & Art sale. http://www.northconwaylibrary.com/index.php?page=events
From the book sale head walk across Mechanic St. over to Joe Jones Sports and rent some bicycles. https://www.joejonessports.com/ What better way to work off that breakfast and enjoy the sites. Make sure you get a bike with a basket. (you'll see why in the next activity)
Hop on those bikes and ride apox. 1 mile to Schartner Farm to pick some strawberries https://www.facebook.com/SchartnerFarmsNorth. The farm is located on West Side Rd. The beautiful setting along with the delicious strawberries is sure to capture your heart and have you coming back year after year.
Hop back on your bikes and head over to Diana's Bath's. You'll be happy you are on a bike because on the weekend parking can be difficult here. If it isn't raining this is a perfect place to go for a nice easy .6 mile hike and at the end you get to see some pretty awesome waterfalls.
After all this you must be starving and have eaten all those strawberries you just picked! It's time to take your bike back into town and grab a late lunch. For a delicious more up scale lunch check out the Chef Bistro http://chefsbistronh.com/. Looking for something more kid friendly and casual Horsefeather's is always a good choice http://www.horsefeathers.com/.
If the weather seems to be holding up and it isn't raining you can drive your car to the top of Cathedral Ledge and check out the beautiful views. They have a fenced in area so there is no need to worry if you have animals or small children with you.
I hope you enjoy your day no matter what you end up doing! Here are a few more suggestions:
Lets not forget that Story Land is never busy on rainy days so if you can brave the rain it would be a perfect day to go there. https://www.storylandnh.com/
There is also the Mt. Washington Valley Children's museum that offers fun indoor activities for children. http://www.mwvchildrensmuseum.org/
Uber Blast has indoor laser tag and video games. http://www.uberblast.com/cgi-bin/FamilyEntertainment/index.pl
Enjoy a day's worth of play in the Cranmore Mountain Adventure Park. Zoom down the Mountain Coaster, zip on the Soaring Eagle, fly through the air on the Giant Swing, race down the summer tubing hill, ropes course and so much more!
